The striking difference between the nature I'm witnessing here in Africa and what you're seeing there makes it all the more fascinating for me to see it from this side. Contrast can make a beautiful backdrop!

Beautiful views and I love taking such walks and bringing home images of the wonders I find.

Wonderful, Carrie! With the thinning foliage I'm about to start wandering the woods again, now that I'll have a chance to spot the critters before I find them the hard way. Nothing like stepping on a copperhead or eastern diamondback to put a spring in your step!

What a informative post. I never realized the ingenuity of the squirrel. I know they are pretty clever at robbing bird feeders but, drying mushrooms, amazing! Great find in the great outdoors Carrie!

Carrie this is wonderful with so much informaiton. I still love the two feathers. I love the tree fungus. My mom called them echos. Burned them as a ritual I guess yet she was a christian. She believe it cleared the air of anything evil I guess.
