Rushing Water

 Let the Rivers Flow
I came where the river ran over stones;
My ears knew an early joy.
And all the waters of all the streams
Sang in my veins that summer day.

When time comes for us to again rejoin the infinite stream of water flowing to and from the great timeless ocean, our little droplet of soulful water will once again flow with the endless stream. - William E. Marks, The Holy Order Of Water

For many of us, water simply flows from a faucet, and we
think little about it beyond this point of contact.  We have lost
a sense of respect for the wild river, for the complex workings
of a wetland, for the intricate web of life that water supports.

Carrie, I love how you captured the flow of the rushing water, over the rocks, and the bubbles on the surface. I could almost hear it, and imagined that I did. I remember this past summer walking the shores of Lake Ontario, and how it brought tears to my eyes. It was so Beautiful and peaceful. I could feel the stress leaving my body and soul as I listened to the healing sounds of the water as it washed against the shore. It was like a little piece of Heaven, and I just wanted to stay there as long as I could. Without water we can't live. I believe we are made up of 90% water. No wonder we are drawn to it.
I can only imagine how you felt as you were in this place capturing and enjoying your time with nature.
Hope to find you well and not working too hard.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs, Dianne :)

Oh my, Carrie. These pictures were beautiful. You know that I love rivers (the background of my blog kinda gives it away!!)

I was reminded of this Bible verse from John 8:38:

"Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, 'Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.'"

GOD BLESS!

I've actually not heard the sound of a rushing stream since we went camping in the summer. Now I expect that there will all too soon be the soft falling of snow. Excellent post my friend.

Carrie, I was so extremely captivated by this that I couldn't budge. I just sat here, looking, watching, listening...then closing my eyes and seeing it all again. This touched me profoundly and for whatever reason, brought a lot of my own feelings to the surface that I had had to stuff down for the last year. Yes, about my mom. So much to take care of with her stuff that I have never been able to take the time to just grieve except in tiny bits and pieces, never to resolve this feeling of her being gone from this earth. I can't seem to even drag myself away from this post of yours. I am crying and I am feeling and I am lost in the beauty and soul of your sights and sounds. Carrie, thank you SO much for that :)

Just stopping by to say hello, and thankyou for coming to visit me, and always leaving your thoughtful comments. Hope all is well and you are having a wonderful weekend.
We still haven't had any snow and is still fairly mild for this time of year. Today is was around 6 or 7c , sunny and a bit breezy. I haven't been out with my camera for over a week as I am getting over the flu that hit me last Wed. Feeling much better but not back to normal yet.
Stay warm, and healthy Carrie. Hugs Dianne :)

Hi Carrie - Thank you for your beautiful comments on my website. You're a treasure! These are all sensational photographs you've taken! I love the calmness that comes from listening to rivers flowing, and I especially love exploring creek beds. I hope you've had and enjoyable and warm weekend (I'm guessing you now have snow?). With love and care from Kerrie. xOx
