Those are some good lookin sunflowers.

Here they will be harvesting them next month. Some are larger then a foot across.

You eat the seeds, was a big thing when I was a youngster.

Beautiful Sunflower! Your pics makes smile every time... what do you do with all those pretty sunflower? Do you make your own cooking oil? :-) I ate alot seed too when i was little. They are nice... makes want to pop down town to get some now. Have a good weekend Carrie. Mei

@ Mei I harvest some sunflower seeds to replant the next year and the rest are left on the stocks for food for the birds and squirrels. Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend...

What a lovely story you tell with your beautiful sunflowers, and they are stunning, I don't normally go for large flowers preferring small and dainty, but you can't help but smile when you see such a sunny smiling face, and the colour, fantastic.

Oh, how I love sunflowers!

Carrie, you have captured all the loveliness of these sunny blooms. And I always love the words that you attach to your photos. That first one was simply breath-taking.

Notice how all of them open up their faces to the sky? Isn't that the only way to bloom into all our glory, too? By turning our eyes and our hearts to the sky - and to the Glorious One who gives our lives meaning...
