Simple a Sunday Sunset 8

Expecting a beautiful sunset, I walked into the desert for a better view of the colors I hoped would come.  My excitement was rising as I thought I was to see again those lovely colors that only God can paint across the sky.  But looking out over the horizon I realized it wasn’t going to happen this evening.  However God was not going to disappoint me, for his wonderful gifts are not always where you thought they were going to be.

Instead my walk took me in front of some beautiful yellow desert flowers which I focused on instead.

Realizing his gifts won’t always be what you expect, but with an open heart and mind he will always fill your needs.

So remember when expectations you set forth fail you and you must change your path, God will always present something  to help brighten your day again so that you can refocus on a new goal or path to follow.

May you always find new directions to keep that
spark of excitement alive
and have a
Good Morning… Good Afternoon…  Good Night…
What ever it is to you.

Hello to all my friends here. I have been without internet connection for a couple months now here at my winter home at the Salton Sea in California. Have been so busy haven't had time to even go somewhere to go on the internet. Between setting up our new winter home and company coming and going it has been none stop on the go. But will have internet shortly for awhile so as time permits will try and get by to see everyone. Have missed visiting so many of you. The world and it's people have had to endure great trials this winter and recently. Have a positive attitude and know that God won't let us down. Love and miss you all. Hugs Carrie

So often the pastels, musted hues make a great canvas for the rest of God's wonderment.

Hi Carrie. Thank you for stopping, I cant wait until you get home and back to your garden and sharing . I have been thinking so much about you lately as it feels you have been gone for so long. Its so nice to get away and so nice to come home as you know. Glad you got out and on a ship. I could never do that. The big ships would go by while I was in Hawaii and some where six decks high and I always wonder what it would be like but would never go. Its just not for me. I was on a ship like that as a child coming back from Germany and I remember it so well .. I didnt like crowds back then . Funny what children remember. Anyways stay safe , safe trip back to Canada .
Take Care , Much Love

Beautiful pictures, Carrie. And loved how you used them to teach us something about "re-focusing!"

Even when God makes us change directions, He still shines His Light on the way, and leads us every step.

I really like this entry and it certainly has given me much to ponder over. Brilliant photos compliment your writing so very well. If there is one thing that I have come to learn is that my prayers are not always answered the way I wish for them to be… but more often than not, over time I learn that they are answered the way they should be.
